Frankfurt is the economic and geographical center of the FrankfurtRhineMain region, known for its global data traffic. It is a hub for innovative startups and industry partnerships. As the financial epicenter of Europe, it houses numerous banks and financial services companies, employing over 150,000 people in the sector. Frankfurt's entrepreneurial ecosystem is supported by government, private sector, and university programs, fostering collaboration and innovation. The city has notable success stories in the startup scene, including Wingcopter, meshcloud, Emma, and Gunzilla Games, which secured USD 46 million in venture capital funding in August 2022.
The project is being implemented in close cooperation between Frankfurt Forward, the startup project of the Frankfurt Economic Development Agency, and TechQuartier, the innovation driver and ecosystem manager in FrankfurtRhineMain.
OUR VISION
Our project has the long-term goal of expanding in the coming years and, in collaboration with partners, becoming the central platform for startup settlements in Frankfurt.
The mission of Frankfurt Economic Development GmbH, as an institution of the City of Frankfurt, is to preserve and create economic growth and jobs in Frankfurt. Together with its subsidiary Kompass Frankfurt gGmbH, the Economic Development Department offers active company consulting and engages in cluster-related settlement strategies. Regardless of the size of the company and the industry, the business development agency offers fast access to information, institutions, contacts and provides support for smooth market access.
