Prof. Dr. Jochen Maas is head of Sanofi's German research and development site and a member of the global steering committee. He has many years of experience in R&D in the pharmaceutical sector. Apart from his global industrial activities he teaches pharmacology and pharmacokinetics at the Technical University of Central Hessen.

He is Vice President of the Houses of Pharma and Healthcare in Frankfurt and is involved in various boards of trustees and foundations. He is particularly committed to communicating the latest findings in science and technology on current and controversially discussed topics.

Prof. Dr. Maas is a biologist, veterinarian and specialist (veterinary) physician for radiology and studied at the universities of Zurich, Heidelberg and Munich.
